Per-call rates for bulk voice calls, what you're actually billed for, and the questions to ask before you compare quotes.
OBD (outbound dialing) delivers a pre-recorded voice message to a large contact list without anyone dialling by hand.
Businesses use it for appointment and payment reminders, service updates, surveys and permitted promotions. A spoken message often gets attention when an SMS would be skimmed. If you're new to the channel, start with our OBD service overview or the OBD voice call campaign guide, then come back here to budget.
Comparing quotes is harder than it looks. One provider's "₹0.10 per call" can cost more than another's ₹0.12 once you check what counts as a call and how long a billed call is. This page sets out our rates and explains the billing terms behind them.
| Volume | Price per connected call | Press-1 (DTMF) capture | Integration | Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 10,000 calls | ₹0.15 | Included | Manual report export | Email and chat |
| 10,000 – 1,00,000 calls | ₹0.12 | Included | REST API | Priority support |
| 1,00,000+ calls a month | Custom rate | Included | Full API and webhook | Dedicated manager |
Say a real estate developer calls 10,000 leads with a 30-second site-visit message and a press-1 option. Suppose 6,000 calls connect. At ₹0.12 per connected call, the campaign costs ₹720 before GST. Leads who press 1 can be routed to your sales team or logged for callback, which is how a press-1 campaign turns a broadcast into a lead list. Real connection rates depend on list quality and timing, so use your own data once you have it.

Rates: ₹0.15 per connected call up to 10,000; ₹0.12 from 10,000 to 1,00,000; custom above 1,00,000 a month. Final cost depends on your written quote, pulse and GST.
There's no single rate that fits every campaign. These are the factors that move the price, and the questions to ask any provider:
| Factor | Why it matters | Ask the provider |
|---|---|---|
| Billing basis | Attempted-call billing charges for every dial, including unanswered numbers | Is it attempted, connected or answered calls? |
| Billing pulse | A 40-second message on a 30-second pulse is billed as two pulses | What is the pulse and the minimum billable duration? |
| Call volume | Per-call rates fall as volume rises | Where are the slab boundaries? |
| Message length and format | Longer audio costs more; text-to-speech may be priced separately | Is text-to-speech included? |
| Interactivity | Press-1 responses, call transfer and IVR menus add value and sometimes cost | Is DTMF capture or call transfer included? |
| Integration and reports | API, webhooks and CRM sync suit recurring campaigns | Which plan includes API access and which reports? |
| Taxes and terms | GST, credit validity and setup fees change the real cost | Is GST included? When do credits expire? Any setup fee? |
If you're also pricing text channels, compare against bulk SMS prices and WhatsApp Business API pricing. Many campaigns use voice and SMS together rather than one or the other.
Want listeners to respond? Add a keypress. Our DTMF service explains how keypresses are captured. For two-way menus, see IVR services.
Due-date calls in the borrower's language, often paired with an SMS. See voice OBD for EMI reminders and payment alert SMS.
Short project messages with press-1 for a callback. Pair with missed call lead capture.
Clinic, service-centre and delivery reminders that reduce no-shows. See voice messaging.
Leader messages in regional languages, within election-period rules. See voice OBD for elections.
Keypress answers to one or two short questions, captured in the report.
Offers and launches to consented audiences, after DND scrubbing, within calling hours.
Getting these wrong costs more than any per-call rate, because blocked or complained-about campaigns waste the whole list.
The regulations themselves are published by TRAI.
Per-call prices on the page, not "call for pricing". Your quote confirms pulse, GST and validity in writing.
You pay per connected call, not for every number dialled.
DTMF capture on every tier, so broadcasts can produce leads and callbacks.
Recorded audio or text-to-speech in Hindi and other Indian languages. See multi-language voice.

OBD stands for Outbound Dialing. It is an automated calling method that dials a list of phone numbers and plays a recorded or text-to-speech voice message when the call is answered. It can also capture a keypress, such as press 1 to speak to an agent.
MetaReach's published OBD rates are ₹0.15 per connected call for campaigns up to 10,000 calls and ₹0.12 per connected call from 10,000 to 1,00,000 calls, with custom rates above 1,00,000 calls a month. Your written quote confirms the billing pulse, GST treatment and validity for your campaign.
MetaReach's OBD rates are per connected call, so unanswered, busy and switched-off numbers are not billed as connected calls. Billing rules differ between providers, so always confirm whether a quote is for attempted, connected or answered calls, and what the billable pulse is.
A pulse is the unit of call time a provider bills in, for example 15 or 30 seconds. A 25-second message billed on a 30-second pulse counts as one pulse; a 40-second message counts as two. Keeping your message within one pulse is the simplest way to control cost.

Yes. Campaigns can be run from the web portal, and on higher-volume plans contact lists and call outcomes can sync with your CRM or backend through the API. Share your technical requirements so we can confirm what fits your setup.
Confirm the message purpose and category, recipient permissions, DND scrubbing for promotional calls, permitted calling hours, an opt-out option, the caller identification, and the provider's billing basis, pulse and reporting terms.
Share your estimated call volume, message length and whether it's a one-time or recurring campaign. We'll send a written quote with the pulse, GST and validity spelled out.
