Message identifiers
Keep the application event ID separate from the provider message ID. Store the new provider ID so later status reports can be matched to the correct send.
MetaReach is an option to compare with SMSCountry for bulk SMS, OTP and application messaging in India. The most useful comparison is operational: how your application authenticates, submits messages, receives a message ID and reconciles delivery status. A new provider requires a tested integration, even when the visible message and sender stay the same.
SMSCountry publishes HTTP API documentation for single, bulk and customized messages, along with delivery-report responses. That is a useful starting point for auditing an existing integration. Record the specific endpoints and response formats your own application uses rather than assuming every account follows the same example.
For a MetaReach evaluation, use the published SMS API reference and a sample of your approved messages. Test both successful requests and failed requests. An integration that only checks whether an HTTP request succeeded can miss invalid templates, rejected numbers and later delivery failures.
Read the official product references alongside your own account agreement. The MetaReach column describes the scope to review with our team; it does not promise identical features or a lower price.
| Area | SMSCountry | MetaReach evaluation |
|---|---|---|
| API requests | Published documentation covers single, bulk and customized HTTP submissions. | Use the MetaReach API reference to map recipients, message content and sender details. |
| Authentication | Confirm the authentication used by your current SMSCountry integration. | Create new credentials; do not reuse or expose the previous provider credentials. |
| Delivery reporting | The API documentation lists report responses and delivery-status codes. | Agree how message IDs and returned delivery statuses will map into your application. |
| SMS credits | Reconcile your current route, credit balance and plan terms. | Compare credits using the final encoding and segment count, not just the recipient count. |
| India onboarding | Check your existing business and approved-message records. | Confirm entity/header/template mapping and provider linkage before production use. |

Distinguish request validation errors, queued submissions and final delivery outcomes. A status with the same label can have a different code or timing at another provider.
Test the longest realistic variable values and regional-language content. Unicode and multipart messages can change the bill even when the recipient list stays constant.
Choose by fit: keeping your current provider can make sense when its existing integrations and contracted features meet your requirements. Consider MetaReach when the proposed service scope, implementation plan and commercial terms match what your team needs.
Use your SMSCountry bill and a current MetaReach quote for the same route and monthly segment volume. Include the engineering time needed to change authentication, response parsing and reports. A low unit rate is less useful if the integration cannot reconcile failed submissions.

No identical request or response contract is promised. Compare the published API documentation and update authentication, parameters, response parsing and delivery-report handling.
No. Request acceptance and a final network delivery status are different stages. Store the provider message ID and reconcile the later status. A delivery report also does not prove the message was read.
Use the same SMS route, destination, final text, segment volume, validity and taxes. Include reporting access and integration work in the comparison.
Review the business-owned DLT records and confirm the new provider linkage and mapping. Do not begin sending until the relevant setup has been checked.
